Brewing Instructions: Breakfast tea
Weigh out 2 to 3 grams of black tea leaves. Place the leaves in a teapot and fill the teapot with freshly-boiled water. Infuse the leaves in the boiling water for around 3 minutes. Once 3 minutes has passed, separate the leaves and drink your freshly brewed tea! The same leaves can be used to re-brew many more cups of tea, until the flavour from the leaves has been exhausted.
The origins of English Breakfast Tea can be found in 1843, when an American immigrant in New York blended together Pekoe and Pouchong teas with a base of Congou tea. He named the tea 'English Breakfast Tea' and sold it with the explanation that it was the most popular tea in England - despite the fact that not a single person across the Atlantic had heard of the tea.
