    How to make

    Weigh out 2 to 3 grams of oolong tea leaves. Place the leaves in a teapot or gaiwan and fill with freshly-boiled water for around three minutes. The same leaves can be used to re-brew many more cups of tea, until the flavour from the leaves has been exhausted.


    According to one legend, this tea got its name when the Chinese Goddess of Mercy Guanyin told a poor deprived Chinese farmer about a magical tea shoot. The farmer was desperate for money and so carefully nurtured the shoot until it grew into a large bush. The tea it produced was extremely high quality and caused the farmer and all his neighbours to prosper.
