How to make
Weigh out 2 to 3 grams of green tea leaves. Place the leaves in a glass or clay teapot and fill with 70-75°C water for 1 to 2 minutes. The same leaves can be used to re-brew many more cups of tea, until the flavour from the leaves has been exhausted. Feel free to adjust the brewing time to suit your personal preferences.
According to legend, the Kangxi Emperor's grandson, the Qianlong Emperor, visited West Lake in Eastern China during one of his famous holidays. He visited the Hu Gong Temple and tasted green tea grown from tea bushes just in front of the temple. He was so impressed by the tea that he conferred these 18 bushes imperial status. The trees are still alive today and the tea yielded from them is sold for more per gram than gold.
