    How to make

    Weigh out 2 to 3 grams of green tea leaves. Place the leaves in a teapot or strainer, and fill with 70-75ºC water for two minutes. After the time is up, separate the leaves from the hot water. The same leaves can then be used to re-brew more cups - for each additional brew, add an extra 30 seconds to the brewing time.

    Legend

    Production of this famous green tea dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) when it was prized by wealthy colonists. The tea received its modern name after a young English clerk mistook the small round pellets as grains of the early firearm propellant Gunpowder.
